Our shipping matrix offers booksellers control over the default postage rates charged when customers check out, rather than restricting sellers to set reimbursement for postage costs or a set delivery estimate. You can adjust the default rates and delivery estimates according to your experience and the average real cost for shipping books to locations all over the world. How to adjust your Shipping Matrix
Click on "Account" at the top of the page, then click on "Shipping matrix" from the drop-down menu that appears. You will be able to enter values for each field, including the estimated days for delivery.
Don't enter zeros unless you want to offer free shipping! Entering a zero in any shipping rate field will effectively offer free shipping to customers in that shipping zone at that shipping speed. Please be sure not to leave any field blank or with a zero entered, unless you intend to offer free shipping to that zone at that speed (this includes the fields for additional books in the same order).
That said, offering free shipping to customers is a great way to increase sales! If you want to do so, consider entering zeros in the standard shipping field for your own shipping zone, or enter zeros in fields for additional books in the same order. Customers will then be encouraged to order additional books from you in that same order to save on postage!

Shipping speeds: The shipping matrix offers two different speeds for shipping. Standard shipping options should be the lowest cost shipping option available and do not mean surface or sea mail for international shipments. Expedited shipping options should be a faster method than the one you use for Standard shipping.
Express shipping is also included as an option for your own shipping zone. You can choose whether you want to enable that option, and enter values for rates and estimated days for delivery. Express shipping should be a shipping method that would get the package to the customer in one to three days from the day it is ordered.
Adjusting postage on specific orders: If a particular book is too large or heavy to send at the default rate charged, or if the postage paid is more than enough and you want to refund the customer for the excess, you will have the option of adjusting the charges. When you request additional postage, the customer is notified and sent a link to either accept or reject the additional postage. Reductions take effect immediately. For more information, click here.
In many cases, we can customize your shipping matrix. We can add additional zones, re-name shipping zones, and change which countries are assigned to each zone. If you would like to customize your shipping matrix, contact us at email@example.com.
This FAQ pertains to the latest version of our shipping matrix, Version 2.
